With a focus on conservation and efficient water distribution, the reservoir plays a crucial role in ensuring the availability of clean water resources for residents and businesses in the area. Project Summary This project involved the installation of a geomembrane liner in the Escalante Reservoir to enhance its functionality. The reservoir was constructed without an existing liner, removing the need for demolition. To ensure long-term durability, the owner selected HypaFlex® (CSPE) 45 mil with the white side facing upwards, supported by a layer of 8 oz non-woven geotextile. An 8-member crew executed the installation. Although the project extended slightly beyond the anticipated timeline, it was completed under budget. Challenges & Results One notable challenge was the lack of a termination attachment for the non-woven geotextile along the vertical walls. This required the geotextile to be terminated at the bridging bar connection. Both the general contractor and the owner were pleased with the results, underscoring the project’s successful execution and contribution to sustainable water management. Previous Slide Next Slide
