Q: Can you describe your current role at Layfield and the number of years you have been with the company?

I have been with Layfield for over 11 years, having joined when the Edmonton facility opened in April 2013. I have always been passionate about customer service and currently hold the position of Customer Experience Lead. In this role, I oversee the department and support the team to ensure the highest standards of customer service through handling calls, inquiries, quotes, orders, and other procedures.

Q: Can you tell us about your recent accomplishment at Layfield that you are proud of?

I am proud of my recent promotion to Customer Experience Lead. This new role enables me to implement innovative tools and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the customer service department.

Q: What do you like the most about the company culture and work environment at Layfield?

I appreciate the dynamic and fast-paced work environment at Layfield. The friendships I have built with teammates who share the same goals are invaluable, and the team-building activities organized by the company are highly enjoyable. Additionally, the collaboration and versatility across different departments significantly contribute to a positive and energetic workplace atmosphere.

Q: What do you like to do outside of work?

When I’m not at work, I love hanging out with my friends and family, going to country music concerts, shopping, exploring farmers’ markets, and traveling. Beach trips are my favorite—I can’t get enough of the sand, water, and the soothing sound of the waves. I also love visiting Banff and Canmore, going for walks, bike riding, chilling with my cat, and going out for sushi. 

 Q: What inspired you to pursue your current role at Layfield?

I was inspired to pursue my role at Layfield due to my enthusiasm for customer service and the opportunity to explore a new industry. I have found it rewarding to learn about Layfield’s diverse and innovative product offerings, which has allowed me to expand my knowledge and grow professionally.
