Q: Can you describe your current position at Layfield and the tasks you handle?

I have been with Layfield for 5 years and recently took on a new role as the Marketing Manager. In this position, I oversee the marketing efforts for our Geosynthetics division. Our team is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to promote our wide range of geosynthetic products and services.

Q: Can you tell us about your recent accomplishment at Layfield that you are proud of?

I’m proud to have been promoted to my current role, where I can oversee new initiatives and collaborate with various departments to achieve our goals. It’s fulfilling to be part of the decision-making process and make a meaningful impact. I’m also proud of our marketing team’s hard work and the significant progress made in driving the company’s success.

Q: What do you like the most about the company culture and work environment at Layfield?

What I like most about working at Layfield is the people and being part of a team that works toward shared goals. I also value the strong support for learning and professional growth—it keeps me motivated and moving forward.

Q: What advice would you give to someone considering a career in our industry?

Be ready to learn—this industry moves fast. Geosynthetics is constantly evolving with new technologies and innovations that make a real impact, from improving infrastructure to protecting the environment. Coming from a nonprofit marketing background, I faced a steep learning curve, but taking the time to understand the technical side made the work even more rewarding. Ask questions and connect with experienced colleagues—they can offer valuable insight, boost your confidence, and help you find your footing.

Q: What do you like to do outside of work?

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family. We love camping and supporting the kids in their sports and activities. I also enjoy playing ball hockey and making the most of opportunities to explore the outdoors and travel.

 Q: What inspired you to pursue your current role at Layfield?

I’ve been with Layfield for several years, and when an opportunity came to take the next step in my career, the timing felt right. It was a chance to grow, and I knew it was something I wanted to pursue.
